wildHERness, Red Dirt Sisters Women on the Wing, and Outdoor Mentors are partnering to provide a unique opportunity for 10 lucky young ladies! This will be the first event in a series of outdoor adventures designed specifically for these participants throughout the year.
This introductory clinic is designed to prepare these young ladies for the upcoming hunting season while building their confidence, skills, and knowledge in a safe and welcoming environment. Following this clinic, participants will be invited to join us each month for a different hunting experience, giving them the opportunity to explore a variety of outdoor pursuits and discover what they enjoy most.
This is not a one-and-done event. We are looking for young ladies who are ready, willing, and excited to participate throughout the season. By signing up for this clinic, participants are committing to making every effort to attend the additional hunting opportunities offered each month.
Firearms will be provided for participants to use during the clinic. However, youth are welcome to bring their own firearm if they prefer, provided it is in safe working condition and appropriate for the activities.
During the clinic, we will cover:
- Firearms safety
- Loading and unloading firearms
- General firearms knowledge
- Gun safety while hunting with dogs
- How to safely shoot from a duck blind
- How to safely shoot at flushing birds
