Artists must register and pay $20 entry fee (plus $3 processing fee) using the Wildlife Department's Go Outdoors Oklahoma online customer management system; login or create your account to enter the contest.
Your properly labeled artwork featuring white-fronted goose must be received at Wildlife Department headquarters by 4:30 p.m. the final Friday of August, or shipped and postmarked by the final Friday in August. For all rules, visit wildlifedepartment.com
The winner is announced in late September, and the winning artist will receive $1,200. The winning artwork will adorn the next year's Oklahoma Waterfowl Conservation Stamp.
The state duck stamp program raises funds for waterfowl conservation projects through the sale of stamps, many of which are purchased by collectors. The program has helped buy more than 11,500 wetland acres and enhance, create, restore and maintain thousands of additional acres of critical waterfowl habitat.
