This is a 3-day trapping education event. We will start on Friday afternoon with some basics and then help the kids get traps set for all kinds of Furbearers. We eat supper as a group and then cover rules and regulations as a discussion. We will also have a project to make trapping supplies around the campfire. Saturday morning, we go check our traps and bring the catch back to learn fur preparation. After lunch we go back out and set more traps. Once again we have a group meal and campfire time. Sunday morning we go check and pick up traps. We will again skin and prepare the furs. The kids will get to keep the furs they catch.

Registration: Fee of $35 which includes a membership to the OFBA and food as well as other costs for the program. For others, parents, siblings, etc. are asked to send in $25 per person to cover food and expenses. We do have a scholarship program for those who can't afford the fee.

We do not have an age requirement, but we do require that kids 12 and under have a parent or guardian attend. We do encourage parents and grandparents to come to the program with their children. The camp is good for all ages but kids between 10-18 are the intended audience.

All trappers are required to have a resident trapping license regardless of age unless exempt.
