Join ODWC and OG&E staff for a FREE family fishing clinic at the OG&E Sooner Lake Power Plant inflow channel. This special opportunity will provide fishing on a part of the lake not accessible to the public. Lunch will be served at 11:30, basic fishing instruction will be given after lunch and the rest of the time will be spent fishing for drum, saugeye, hybrid striped bass, largemouth bass, sunfish and catfish. Fishing equipment, including rods and reels, will be provided for use at the event. After following signs to entry gate, participants will undergo a brief security check and then be directed to the event parking area by OG&E staff. All fishing during the event is catch and release only.
Must have a VALID EMAIL ADDRESS to register. The event will be postponed in the event of inclement weather.
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE REGISTERED TO ATTEND! No large groups, clinic is intended for families and individuals.
All participants will receive a confirmation email with further instruction and a liability waiver 24-hours prior to the event. Please print and fill out the liability waiver and bring with you to the event. If you do not have access to a printer, hard copies will be available at the entrance gate day of event.
